Internal Hard Drive Problems?

Hi.

So I got a new internal hard drive as I was running out of storage on my computer. I plugged it in fine, connected it to the SATA port.

I loaded up my desktop and it was not in the 'My Computer' in file manager. I went to disk management but nothing was there. [https://gyazo.com/7b58edf412a7e08131428f6ff1737d8b]

However, it is enabled in the BIOS and the Device Manager. [https://gyazo.com/7c5a0189dc022a2d58e9731bac376d69] (My new hard drive is called 'ST1000LM048-2E7172')

No matter what I do in the BIOS (which im reluctant to mess with) and the cmd, I can't get it to show in disk management.

I know its in my pc correctly as its being reconized by device management, but as of right now, I can't begin to use it to store anything. I also can't assign my current drive to a new letter using the drivers cmd. My new drive also doesn't show in there. I am running on the latest version of Windows 10 and my BIOS is fully updated, the new driver is also updated.

(My disk space is extremely low and I have nothing else to delete. I have a total 11GB left.)

Please respond to this ASAP.

Thanks.

The cable I used to connect them is brand new, so is the hard drive. Everything does connect perfectly as my device management reconizes it as a drive. It just doesn't appear in disk management, which I need it to do.

"Brand new" usually means it is OK.
Usually.

Here, it seems to be one of those cases that fall outside 'usually'.

I'm fairly certain the wires aren't faulty as my computer knows it's there and that it's a drive.
It's in my BIOS and my device management, so it's fine. It's just not in the disk management.
