DVI Port Not Working on MSI-Z270

So I just got this computer and I have two monitors that use a DVI port. I have one DVI port in my graphics card and one in my motherboard. I plugged my main monitor into my card and my secondary monitor into the motherboard. For some reason the mother board DVI port will not work. I swapped the two monitors ports and only the Graphics Card port works...

SPECS:
MSI GTX 1080
i7-8700k
MSI-Z720

How can I do that?

Not all boards will support GPU output paired with onboard output.

You may be able to enable this in the BIOS (not too familiar with MSI BIOS') setting preferences for primary/secondary display out, or you may have no option to do so natively.
Adapters are available though, so you should be able to use both monitors.... perhaps just not as you intend right now.

Another option if you cannot manually enable the on-board video in the BIOS with a dedicated GPU is to try using two different types of cables if your monitors support one or more types other than DVI (HDMI, Display Port specifically). Some motherboards choke when trying to use the same type of cable output between on-board and dedicated.

By the way, that motherboard you have does not have a DVI out so how are you using a DVI cable for on-board, with an adapter? That may be your issue too.
