Based on the iffy (and few) reviews I'd give it a shot. Those low ratings sounds to me like users not knowing what they are doing. However that's the least of your problems being in the UK. It's not available on NewEgg's UK site (I'm in the US). You might be able to find it on Amazon UK or elsewhere though. I'd definitely try it. You should be able to return it if it doesn't work properly if you buy it from a reputable vendor.

I'm in the U.S. actually, and the price $17 is really good in comparison. I think I might give it a shot. I definitely have a free PCIE slot or two on my motherboard.
