GTX 1060 Problems

my Geforce GTX 1060 is working and is connected to my monitor, but when I try to play games it is so laggy The games runs at a low Frame per second. I test my troubleshooting on Stick Fight and even that does not run well. Please Help if you can.

got to display properties. does it say this adapter is working properly? i know its not but what does windows say? also did you buy new and what brand

what are the full pc specs?

It said it was working properly but it says nothing about it being the 1060, I think it is using the motherboard onboard graphics card. also its Nividia Geforce GTX 1060, and yes i bought new

OK so when you installed graphics card did you install disk that came with it?

No, when i built my PC I never got a disk drive. If i get a External USB disk drive could that work?
