Recently got new fans for my Kraken X62 and have noticed that when running prime95, my temps reach 100c.

From what i've seen so far, My only guess is that the fans are not running at a high enough RPM.

You see, I bought a pair of silent wings 3 1000rpm fans for a quiet experience. And it seems that when gaming, I have no thermal issues, but when stress testing, my temps reach 100c easily. Is it safe to assume that when the temps go past 80c that the RPM is limiting how effectively my AIO can manage the temperatures?

I bought a new pair of silent wings 3 2200rpm fans to see if they fix the problem, but I would like to know if anyone has any other suggestions?

I've replaced the thermal paste twice and re-seated the heatsink twice as well. The temps do not get that high until I run stress tests.

Ambient temperature is 64 degrees Fahrenheit.
The version shouldn't matter because my stock fans worked just fine, max was 82 with my previous fans. I'm fairly sure its the RPM of my current fans causing issues, unless thats not a fair assumption.

Yes, the version does matter very much.

You should not be using any versions later than 26.6. Later versions such as 27.7 through 29.4 can overload your processor to nearly 130% workload due to "AVX" (Advanced Vector Extension) Instruction Sets, which is a known problem. This causes unrealistic Core temperatures up to 20°C higher than version 26.6.

I downloaded that version and the temperatures are lower, but still high. My current temp as of now while running is 87c, thats still really high to me. Also, like I said before, I tested prime95 with my previous fans 2 days ago and never went over 82c on that same version I was using yesterday. Am I just wrong here?

Edit: Now temps are 92c and will most likely rise..
