Some unknown source is waking my computer from sleep via Network Adapter Card.

I have a somewhat new build, and one of the first things I did was to go into BIOS and enable USB devices to wake the computer. Long story short I got Wake On Lan working without any hiccups. But just recently the computer has been waking for unknown reasons so I went into command prompt and did a run of "powecfg -lastwake" which narrowed the source of the wake to my network adapter card. It has an instance path listed but it is unrecognizable. It is as follows:
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_24FD&SUBSYS_10108086&REV78\4&3abe6b03&0&00DA

It said the wake history count was 1,
Wake history 0
Wake source count 1
Wake source 0

If anyone does recognize the path I provided or knows why my computer might be getting what I assume to be magic packets from anywhere other than me, any help would be greatly appreciated.

PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_24FD&SUBSYS_10108086&REV78\4&3abe6b03&0&00DA is just the hardware ID for your intel network card.

could have been the router or a network switch in your network that sent out a ping to see what was out there. Depending on how good your router or firewall is you could see if something outside your network got in and ping your computer.

If you have any folders on your computer set to "share", and if another computer on your home network is turned on, it can cause your computer to wake from hibernation. This happens to me if my wife turns on her computer after I have set mine to hibernate at the end of the day. Not sure if it will wake the computer if it has been shut down, as I rarely shut mine completely off.

I appreciate your dissemination, alas I have but one computer so there exists no shared folders or anything of the like.

If wake on lan is turned on then her computer should turn it on as it tries to find the file path for the folder.

@Jaformhals if you have another computer in the house you can leave it turned on and run a packet sniffing program and see it sees anything about the same time your computer get woken up.

Yep, I was just reading up on packet sniffers. Much gratitude for your knowledge none the less.
