Connecting wireless hedphones via an LG soundbar

Hi- I am looking for answers to my problem - I have recently purchased a pair of HIP wireless headphones, but I am having difficulty in connecting them via my LG Soundbar (model number LAS 350B), I have tried connecting by the headphones function via tv settings and also via the optical tv setting without success.
Anyone got any ideas before I take them back to the retailers as non-compatible.

You can't connect headphones to a soundbar. Even if it has bluetooth it will be a receiver not a transmitter.
You could split the audio output of the TV that is now connected to the soundbar and connect both it and a bluetooth transmitter. The TV menu would be set to output in PCM. Pair the headphones to the trasnmitter. Use either or both as you prefer.
