Is it normal to get a brand new asus mobo with a batery ?

Hi all first time builder

I dont know if it is ok or normale to have a "Newsun" bios/clook batery already in place with my Prime-b350-plus ASUS.

All motherboards that I have ever bought have a CMOS battery pre-installed and I've never had to replace one.

I have never received a new motherboard that didn't come with a cmos battery.

Yes it's ok and normal. The battery is to keep the clock running and maintain BIOS settings. They typically last many years.
