Power Supply / Motherboard Help

So i am gonna be upgrading to x370 and i noticed that it has a 4+2pin and my psu has on 4pin. When i order cables do i just order something like 4pin to 4+2pin eps? I really cant afford to upgrade power supply as well. Thank You!

The 550w Evga B3 only has the 1 8-pin EPS connector it does not have the extra 4-pin the motherboard seems to require. Usually only larger high end PSU's have 2 CPU power connectors.

I would not recommend using an adapter.

You may want to contact Asus to see if that 4-pin connector is actually required as they usually aren't unless you are doing some major overclocking, but the manual will usually state that the extra connector is optional and I didn't see that in the manual.

so my psu is fine, it comes with an adapter?

if i dont oc i can just plug the 4pin in fine?
