PC Lock Ups/Freezes - Unknown Cause

I am overwhelmingly stressed out about this issue I've been having with my PC over the past few months. Now I'm no expert when it comes to the inner workings of the computer, which is why I am hoping someone may be able to help out or lead me in the right direction.

I got a PC upgrade in very early 2015. Experienced an issue here and there shortly after (Like needing a Power Supply replacement), but after all of that was out of the way, I went for nearly 2 years without a single issue. Up until December 2017. Both my GPU and PSU died. I was told by one person that the PSU died and killed my GPU, while on the other hand I was told by someone completely different that my GPU died and killed the PSU. Regardless, something died, and did more damage to the system than just itself. I purchased a new Power Supply and had the GPU replaced. Got everything put together by a trusted local shop (Which I've been going to for years, no problems), and shortly after getting the PC back in February 2018, I began to experience PC lock ups.

The lock ups or freezes are complete full lock ups, and don't seem to have any consistency or trigger. When the issue occurs, the screen will freeze completely, and any sound that may be playing will cut off entirely. I will no mouse cursor movement, everything is stuck. And it will stay like that until I manually turn the PC off, and restart it. I've never experienced something like this prior to my GPU and PSU dying in December 2017. As I said, there doesn't seem to be a trigger or consistency. Over the course of the next couple weeks in started happening frequently. However, it would happen both on desktop, and while in games (No particular games). For example, there were multiple times it'd lock up after only have the PC on for 20 or so minutes, and simply browsing the internet. After having had the machine off all night. While other times it'd lockup after playing a game for a few hours. And to top it off, the PC could run 6+ hours in heavy gaming sessions without freezing. Once again, zero consistency.

Not long after I purchased an entirely new GPU upgrade. And after having it installed, the PC locked up on day one. I was told it could be a dying HDD, so I purchased a new HDD, as well as replaced my PC's RAM (Just a few days ago). Everything was running well for about three days, before locking up again today. Despite the heavy gaming sessions over the past three days.

In short, the only thing in my PC that hasn't been replaced is the CPU & Motherboard. It was suggested that over heating could be my issue, but I am almost 100% positive overheating is not the problem. Temps seem perfectly fine. ------ Is it possible that my CPU or Motherboard are dying? Or were damaged from the PSU/GPU going out? If so, what is your take on this?

Other Information:
- When PC locks up, I cannot get the Motherboard to detect my keyboard input (e.x. LED on keyboard for num lock. Pressing num lock will results in zero response)
- PC beeps once upon booting the computer up after it has been manually shut down. This beep was never present prior to having replaced PSU and GPU. Not aware of what it indicates, cannot find the beep code. An online thread suggested it could mean PC is in working order, or PC is detecting a Central Processing Unit failure.
- Local shop could not get the issue to occur, and thus were unable to detect the cause.

PC SPECS:
Motherboard: ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0
CPU: AMD FX 8320 8-Core 3.5 GHz 16.0 MB TC Black Edition
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti FTW2 8GB GDDR5
RAM: 16GB of Ballistix Gaming Random Access Memory (4 Sticks)
HDD: Seagate BarraCuda ST3000DM008 3TB
PSU: Corsair RMx Series RM750X 750W 80 PLUS GOLD

Closing Statement:
I purchased a new motherboard (ASUS ROG Maximus VIII Hero/Whetstone) but am unable to use it as I do not have compatible DDR4 RAM or CPU.

My funds have been completely exhausted from these PC issues. And both my CPU and Motherboard are out of warranty. I appreciate absolutely anything you can tell me about my problem I am having, and what may be the issue. Thank you!

Solution
16GB of Ballistix Gaming Random Access Memory (4 Sticks)

With no part number(s) or link to the memory, this vague description does not identify whether or not the memory is compatible.
1. What version of Windows are you using? How long has it been since you did a clean install of your operating system?
2. Have you run a virus and malware scan on your PC?
3. Have you checked all your drivers in Device Manager? Are they all up to date?
4. Have you installed the latest BIOS update for your motherboard? There have been 12 different Bios updates to "Improve system stability".

1. I am using Windows 10 Home, it has been about four days since a clean installation of the OS has been done.
2. Scans for viruses & malware were done before and after getting the new Hard Drive put in, nothing was detected.
3. All drivers are up to date.
4. I am not positive about the BIOS. Latest BIOS version for this board is "American Megatrends Inc.2501, date: 4/7/2014" .

did you fix it by any chance ? it's happening to me too since a month ago, at first it would lock up when i left my pc idle and then it getting more frequent and would lock up when im doing something, as of now the locked up issue is pretty rare eventhough it still there like one freeze once a week, what i did was completely uninstall gpu driver using ddu and install older gpu driver you might wanna try. if there is a permanent solution im all ears.

I am currently having a used Motherboard & CPU put in the system to replace my current ones. This is in an effort to see if the problem persists. If it doesn't, then that pinpoints what may have been causing the issue. I will post again if the issue is solved or not at that point, and what the issue was.
