After a failed W10 upgrade on one of my PCs, the home network I'm on changed its designation to Network 2. I only have one network. Now however, I cannot access my network HDD or printer. I can't even access my router. How do I change it back to what it was before (Network? Network 1?) so I can access my devices again?

I can still access the internet fine. just not the other devices on the network.

So you have Windows 10 working? If so, you should know that Windows 10 turns off SMB v1.0, which is a common way to access "network shares" (when you pull up file manager and click the network tab). SMB v2 and v3 still work, but you have to turn off v1 on the device you want to see. Since you can't access your router, there might be something else going on, but you it's good to know if you are new to Windows 10.

How do you connect to your network? If it's WiFi, check to be sure you are connecting to your network and not the guy next door or something.

From a command prompt, enter "ipconfig". You should see your own IP address ... something like 192.168.1.15. If you have IPv6 also then you might see a second address that is a lot...

If you have IPv6 also then you might see a second address that is a lot longer and has numbers and letters. You should also see a line that says default gateway. This should be the IP address of your router ... something like 192.168.1.1 . Does the IP address look right? What happens if you put it into a browser?

Let us know.
