Can an anti virus (Mcafee) interfere with my connection to battlefield 1 servers?

Recently, I've been losing connection to battlefield 1 servers. It's at the point where I can't play a full game without losing connection. My internet isn't the best, but I never get disconnected that often with any other games except battlefield 1. So I thought, could it be my anti virus blocking some connections with the game? Again, I never had this problem until I got my new internet, so it might just be my internet. Help is appreciated. Thanks for reading

if it is a security suite with some sort of software firewall included, ....yes.

Simply end/suspend the AV to determine if there is any improvement, then you will know if it is relevant. (Might be a spot where you select your appropriate internet connection in BF1 settings (DSL, cable, LAN, etc..), so, make sure that is set correctly...
