Corsair H150i pro making weird humming noise?

Hello i just built a PC and it was working fine but then i decided i wanted to control the RGB on the pump of my H150i pro so i plugged in the micro usb and for some reason i thought the other end was supposed to go into the RGB port on my motherboard so i plugged it in.Then i found out it was supposed to go into the usb port not RGB because right when i plugged it into the RGB port the RGB on my pump turned off the corsair fans went to full blast and my pump started making a humming sound. But when a couple days passed i decided to try and plug it in to see if it would help, when i plugged it in the RGB turned on the fans went down to normal speeds and the humming stopped for a few seconds then it all started back again and the RGB port no longer works on my motherboard. And remember this is the micro USB that comes seperate the pump does not need the micro usb to power the RGB so I don't know the problem. Can someone plz help me fix this if you know a solution? Thank you.

The micro USB is still connected to the MCU on the pump. So it's quite possible, if not likely, that you fried the pump's onboard controller.
USB supports 5V power. Most motherboard RGB ports supply 12V and it's not even likely that it was on the same pin as the 5V power is supposed to be on. That's hard to say because I'm kinda baffled how you even managed to plug that USB header into an RGB connector. It's not like it's a natural "fit".
