My pc won’t turn on

Lately I’ve been experiencing an issue with my pc. Whenever I try to power it on I get nothing. But if I hold the cord leading from the power supply to my outlet upwards it works perfectly normal. The only problem is once I let go of the cord the computer shuts off I’ve looked at all my connections to the motherboard from the power supply and even replaced my power supply yet the problem still occurs. If you have any solutions I would love to hear them.

Perhaps a different power supply. I wonder if one of the pins in the back of the power supply where the cable actually plugs in is slightly loose and does not make contact totally unless you hold the cable up which puts upward pressure on the pins.

I don't know that this is what's happening, but it just sounds logical seeing that you've tried multiple power outlets and multiple cables.

Does this behavior happen on the same outlets if you plug in a lamp or a TV for example? It does the outlet work normally if you plug any other device into it?

. It only happens with my pc. I have tried plugging lamps and my monitor into the outlets. I have replaced the power supply as well but I still get the same result.
