Putting a 7850 in a Lenovo ThinkCentre M91p MT

I bought a Lenovo ThinkCentre M91p MT with an i5-2400, 4GB Ram, 500GB Hard Drive, a dvd drive, and a shitty power supply. I upgraded the power supply to a EVGA 450 BT, 80+ Bronze 450W 100-BT-0450-K1 and added a stick of 4GB of ram. I just bought a used 7850 to put in the thinkcentre. When I put it in the pcie 16x slot and plugged everything in... I got a black screen. Not a "No Signal Connected", just a black screen. When I checked the card, the fan wasn't spinning. The card would get hot but no fan spinning or a signal.
Is this the cards fault, the motherboards fault, etc?
I used a online power supply calculator, and my whole system, with the 7850, used 27A on 12v and my power supply can do up to 35A on the 12v, so I don't think it's the power supplies' fault.

Do I have to pay even more money just to buy a decent motherboard so my gpu works?
Sorry for the long read, but it was a lot to explain.

EDIT: I should mention that I did indeed plug in the 6pin on the gpu

I agree you need to test the card somewhere else. If you try a new board, make sure you have the ability to return it in case it's not the issue. Personally, my first inclination is to try a different graphics card.

You may see if there is a reasonable priced PC shop near you that has more parts to test with and can give you a better idea of what's going on.

My family uses laptops and my friends either have a laptop, really old computer, or no computer at all... so no dice.

My computer still works with the integrated graphics. The problem is, I think, the cheap lenovo motherboard doesn't give enough power at the pcie 16x lane so the graphics card won't work. Plus, whoever made the motherboard didn't count on people using a dual slot gpu so unlocking the gpu from the motherboard is a pain because the gpu blocks the little unlocking bracket. See pic

MERGED QUESTION
Question from someoneusedmynamealready : "Max power output of the PCIE 16X slot on a Lenovo ThinkCentre M91p MT motherboard?"

Sounds more like the PSU of the prebuilt isn't up to snuff.

Ok, I definitely need to test out my gpu in another system now.
Is there any chance it's not fried? Could it be a driver problem or something?

I upgraded the psu to a EVGA 450 BT, 80+ Bronze 450W 100-BT-0450-K1 so the power supply shouldn't be a problem.
I thought I put this in the question but apparently I forgot. Sorry about that.
