Pc will not turn on after build

I built my pc and was installing updates. I have had the issue where my gpu hasnt been detected and ive going through customer support and they told me to keep the gpu and install the new updates on windows. So when my gpu is inside my pc before its turned on, it will not display any image, but if its inside it works perfectly. My pc was turned off after updating so i needed to remove the gpu, while removing my gpu the pc tunred completely off. It started for a few seconds and now it wont turn on at all.

Moral of the issue is that my pc will not turn on and im worried that i fried something. PLEASE help!!

Finding the short is quite tricky business. You could try switching out the mobo or take the computer to a professional. Or hope someone more clever on this subject replies ;)

Your very unclear about what actually happened. For example you say you turned off the computer before removing the gpu as you go on to say it turned off by itself when you removed it. It's either on or off unless maybe you meant that it was in sleep mode or restarting which is still technically same as on. Never even mess with components if the psu is plugged in.

To sum up what happened, I removed my gpu while my psu was plugged in.After I removed my pgu my pc turned completely off, In response to it shutting off, I tried turning back on and that's when the fans spun for a few seconds and then stopped completely. It did that a few times and now it will not turn on at all.

Sounds like your saying it turned off because you removed the gpu or tampered with it. Not because it was doing a regular boot off. I'm no expert on this subject but could something have shorted? Weird that the fans turned on a couple of times though.

I think something did shirt. Is there sure ways to determine a fried mobo or a shorted part?
