I have a i5-6400k cpu but a 1060 GTX 3gb cpu. Also 8 gb ram. What would be a good cpu in th price range of $350 (Maybe a bit over)? I want to record in 60 fps if I can. An answer would be awesome, cheers!

7700k hands down. It also fits in the same socket as your current cpu.
Just update your motherboard's bios before you swap.

The 7700(non-k) will also work. Cheaper, it doesn't clock quite as high as the former, but does come with a cooler.

The heck? That's some BS coming out of their mouth(s). See here: https://ark.intel.com/products/98090/Intel-H270-Chipset Your cpu and the 7700 are on the same list - the 7700(k) will work, you just need to update to the latest bios while using your 6400.

Also, I think it'd be in your better interest to shop elsewhere for the cpu if you can, as these folks are definitely trying to milk extra $$$ out of you. Amazon has the 7700k at $320(7700 at ~$305) at the moment... still not $400.
