I have a couple of CPUs from old laptops that broke and I would like to know how to find out what type of CPU they are, I only know that they are intel. one might be made in 2006 and the other might be from 2003 but I don't know for sure.

Solution
There should be serial #s on them. If not you are out of luck, unless you know the make and model of these laptops. then you can make an estimate. That would be about it.

Now here is the real answer. It does not matter what they are, for they are worthless. If it is from 2003 can only be a single core, and very slow at that. If it is from 2006 it could be very slow single core cpu, with a good chance of being a very slow dual core Pentium D. Again worthless.

thanks for the help, and yes I know they are worthless, I am one of those people who like to know what they have and possibly do something fun with it, like build a slow computer for I don't know 20$? but again, thanks, i'll go check to see the number.
