Do i need Commander pro to connect 6 Case fans (LL120)?

Hello, I am wondering how to go about connecting 6 case fans.

I have an Asus Prime Z370-A Motherboard which only has

x1 CPU fan header
x1 CPU Opt Header
x2 Chassis Fan Header

I have the RBG hub that came with the LL120's along with lighting node pro and have plugged in my fans to the HUB however I am unsure where to fit all of the PWM cables due to only having 3 headers I can use on my MOBO

If I purchase the commander pro will this get rid of this issue? Will I be able to plug the PWM into the commander pro and control all fans without using a Chassis fan header?

I am going to be air cooling my cpu ( I5 8400) so I will need one header for that.

Any help is appreciated :)

Yes, the Commander Pro would work for you in this scenario. You also won't need the Lighting Node Pro that came with the LL120's; the CoPro has that functionality as well.

Hi Devbiker,

I have a similar Mobo and a similar processor but I'm only going to install three LL 140 fans. Can I just use the Lighting Node Pro that comes with the fans or do I need to get a commander pro as well? I'm ok if I can't control the fan speeds and all. Just interested in the RGB.

Yes, you can just use the Lighting Node Pro to control the LL fan RGB effects. You'll have to control fan speed from the motherboard but that'll be just fine.
