So im building a new PC. At first i decided on a $600 budget but after going through a few builds in that range I was simply not satisfied and i increased my budget to $1000. Here is what ive come up with
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/nWzd6s

The CPU Cooler is temporary. I already have that one lying around so might as well use it. I will probably get a better one for overclocking later.

Will this be good for 5 years? even if i have to run games on low settings on 1080p? After 5 years ill be going to uni so when I come back ill make a new build. There is a possibility that i upgrade my GPU to maybe a 1060 6GB if prices drop (which they are, a 1080Ti Founders Edition costs $1293 on Amazon Now). I couldn't fit a Modular PSU in my budget and I needed a solid PSU that could handle heavy overclocks on the memory and CPU.

Which cooler do you have?

I see that SSD as a waste. Will this build be for gaming? WIth games easily exceeding 50GB a 120GB drive for the OS and games isn't going to work all that well. You have a lower budget so everything needs to carry its weight. That SSD brings nothing to the gaming party so I wouldn't invite it.

A 1060 6GB is recommended IF prices are reduced.

That PSU is overkill but the price looks good and it's plenty for your system including upgrades up to and including a 1080 Ti will work fine.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. If i can get an i5 8600k in that price, i will. As for the Seasonic PSU and the Fractal Design Case, those are not available in my country :/ That is one of the main reasons i didnt go for a Seasonic PSU or an EVGA PSU. Also, the Z370 motherboards start at $160 in my country. The cheaper ones are not available. The main websites for shopping in my country are:

www.Pakdukaan.com
www.czone.com.pk
www.shopperspk.com
www.industech.pk
www.gtstore.pk

If you guys could help me pick out parts from these websites, it would be great. $1 is roughly equal to Pakistani Rupees 100. so Rs 100,000 would be $1000. + Prices here are inflated because of import tax -_- My country has a really small gaming community, we don't even have servers for online games. Have to play on 60 ping on Dubai servers.

I know the pain, also foreign gamer (south america) I will look around those sites now

1. Step up the CPU to a 8600k, the extra $14 is def worth it.

2. You're spendign WAY too much on the cooler. As an example I just saw the Cryorig H7 on Newegg for $28, which is best dollar for performance budget cooler. (get on Newegg's email subscriber promo list). I have the H7, which I paid $35 for, and am getting 27c idle (50-60 load in games) on my 8700k.

3. I have same RAM, but got it for $170 at Newegg on their coupon specials a few weeks ago.

4. You don't need a 750w PSU. Not even a 1080 Ti requires that much power.

5. Step up the GPU to at least a 1060 3GB or 6GB. Sadly an HP Pavillion Power 580, which comes with i5-8400 and 1060 3GB for $730, would actually outperform your build.

Just saw your 2nd list, and it's much better. Still more than you need to spend on the PSU though.

I don't know why but that Cooler has a jacked up price on there. I got it for $25 a few months ago and i have it so why not use it in my new build. And in my country the i5 8600k and i5 8400 have a $80 difference :/

When you show a .com PCPartPicker link, and don't mention what country you're in, I assume it's US.

Yes i understand that. But i went for a Rs 150,000 budget in my country, and that roughly equates to around $1250. of course i can go a little over it but i did mention my budget according to my currency also. Thanks for the help btw, I will probably change the PSU to a Corsair TX650M

The only post I see you mentioning your country and currency was the one you just made, and that's hardly the time to do it. Nor is arguing the point a good idea when you've already mislead people with vague questions using nothing but dollar signs as a reference to you currency and location.

One thing is clear, you've obviously not read the sticky thread about how to ask such questions. IMO the staff should make viewing it mandatory before even letting new members post, because this kind of stuff happens WAY too often.

The fact that they don't is why we have even members that have been here FOUR years like you still not knowing how to ask basic help questions, then arguing the point when it's brought up.
