Where can i check what is max supported hdd storage for my motherboard on its sata3 controller, for example if i would install wd gold 12TB hard drive in to my computer wouldn't i run in to issues for max supported storage limits? currently own HDD storage config is this: two WD Blue 6TB hard drives and one WD Blue 2TB hard drive

Solution
There is no max supported HDD storage limit for your motherboard, or any motherboard. Sata is just a connection between the HDD and your motherboards chipset. The only limits are how many storage devices you can connect to the Intel Z170 chipset (a Sata3 controller supporting 6 devices is built into the Intel chipset) and how fast data will flow through the Sata connection. In addition your motherboard has an add-on ASMedia controller chip which runs 2 extra Sata 6Gb/s ports.

it says 6 - Sata 3 ports on z170 chipset https://ark.intel.com/products/90591/Intel-Z170-Chipset so in this case im only limited by windows 10 storage support ''However, if the disk was initialized to GPT, we can totally ignore the hard disk size limit, because it can be up to 9.4ZB or 9.4 billion terabytes even if the disk uses 512B sector'' previously i was thinkin there is some limit like for example max supported RAM size for my mobo is 64GB

That is referring to the size limitations of MBR vs GPT partition structures. The newer GPT doesn’t suffer from the older MBR’s limits. GPT-based drives can be much larger, with size limits dependent on the operating system and its file systems. GPT also allows for a nearly unlimited number of partitions.
