Hey guys,

I am looking at this computer https://tinyurl.com/y9ezwar9 . The only 2 graphics-heavy games I'm looking to run are Skyrim Special Edition and ARK: Survival Evolved. Their requirements are found here (https://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/requirements/skyrim-special-edition/13739) and here (https://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/requirements/ark-survival-evolved/12631), respectively. I'm having a lot of trouble navigating comparison websites so I was hoping someone here could help before I decide to purchase.

Thanks in advance!

Whoa hold up!!! Do NOT go with either of those systems. They are very outdated now.

Something like that would be a lot better.

If money is an issue, consider this route.

Refurbished system with an i5 and 8gb of ram.

Then install one of these.

But for goodness sake, DO NOT buy an FX system. On those systems, the single core performance...

I'm just saying, build your own PC. It's so much better. And it comes with a Radeon R7 240. This will not be enough to play skyrim and ARK on 60fps at 1080p. What you could do is buy it and also buy a GTX 1050 ti and use that.

Also its ethernet only which is a bummer. Also, no SSD so its going to start up slow. One more thing to add is its 8GB DDR3 which means its not going to be as fast. Just build your own computer. Its so much better.

Do you have a parts list you recommend around this price range that will do the job?

But for goodness sake, DO NOT buy an FX system. On those systems, the single core performance is terrible compared to even that refurbished i5. Plus those FX systems, and basically all of that system even the PC part picker lost are basically 2011-2013 technology.

Put it this way, the r7 250 was a mood range card about 2013. The 1050ti is a relatively entry level card but keeps up with top of the line cards from that time and uses less power.

Buy what you like, the FX systems were ok for their time, but you really need to be upgrading away from them at this point.

Plus, I'm going to guess that if you get into PC gaming a little, then you'll probably start getting into other games.

You might also look at this system. It's a quad core, but would get you into a modern PC with ddr4 ram. I'm guessing with it you'd have more room to upgrade later. The video card is not as good as a 1050ti, but it is also a new system.
