I play GTA V and have v sync enabled. I usually have 60 FPS in High/ V. High settings. but some times i have Fps drops (50-58) for few seconds and then go back to 60 FPS. Its get worse when i walk in grassy area, FPS drops to (42-50).

I tried to over clock my GPU (memory clock +50 mhz and GPU clock +95 mhz) but the problem with Sudden FPS drops remain.

My question is, should i keep my current over clocking configuration?

I have no idea how much to over clock.. i am pretty much noob in this.

Too bad you don't have the 4690K. In your position I could instead OC my 4690K because when the OC of the GPU doesn't make any difference it's either more than enough for the game already or the CPU is holding up the show. Or it just doesn't help. OC'ing isn't a very precise science. It's closer to a refined art that will have widely varying results based on the driver, other hardware, the state of the silicon, voltages, the game's needs and how good or bad it's optimized and other things. I have the following

so when I need a boost I will obviously look to my 4690K which I will probably have to replace in a couple years. I can't even squeeze 100MHz out of my 1080 Ti. It has a very low...

Its intel i5 4590, 8 GB DDR3 ram

Turning down your texture, shadow and/ or reflections settings may help. It's is just an entry level card so you can't expect a perfect 60FPS consistent gaming experience because we all know we have to pay to play.

I guess i have to turn MSAA and MSAA reflection off and also set Grass from very high to high. And Gtx 1050ti is not entry level card it is made for 1080p gaming. I would say GT 740 or GT 730 a entry level card.

Having said that i would have bought GTX 1060 if the prices were not that high in my country. Bought the GTX 1050ti for 210$+

I have no idea how optimizing the HDD will effect my game play. I have never heard anything like this. But if you say i will give it a try. I have partitioned the 500 GB HDD into half and GTA V is installed on one partition. I guess i have to optimize that partition or i have to optimize the whole 500 GB drive? I just dnt want to loose any data while optimizing.

Just have it do it all maybe after you go to bed or something. But yes, hard drive can cause issues. I remember trying to play Batman games while something else downloaded in the background and had stuttering.

I have a GTX 1050ti myself, and they are an entry level card. Toward the upper end of entry level, but still entry level.

Have you went to the GPU's OC wall? OC till lock, crash or other indicator of instability and then dial back in 10MHz increments. I start with 25MHz clock bumps and then test and game and rinse and repeat until it crashes and then shave a bit off.
