So I loved my old keyboard and mouse combo, it was nothing fancy (Microsoft wireless media desktop 1000) but it was old and I had spilled a drink on it at some point so the F keys got stuck a lot so a few months back I decided to get a new one. Again, nothing special I got a Logitech MK270, the keyboard felt cheap and the mouse was horrible, way too sensitive so I sent it back and stuck with my old. A few months later I was reading reviews and apparently the MK520 is the better one, so I tried that, again the mouse was horrible, not as small as the last one but still pretty small and overly sensitive, again I stuck with my old one (kept the MK520 as a spare anyway).

So I recently ordered a Microsoft Wireless Desktop 2000 and received it today. I'm happy enough with the keyboard but the mouse is terrible. This time the size is fine but its the tracking that's horrible, it felt sluggish at first so I went into the windows setting and changed the speed and its better but not accurate, I always overshoot what I want to click, I did some searching about other settings and found that it could have something to do with the dpi, long story short, cant change the dpi on this mouse, so not particularly impressed with it.

Does anyone have any recommendations? I would prefer a mouse and keyboard combo but at this stage am just as happy to get a new mouse as the keyboard is fine. The only requirements I have for the keyboard really is separate media buttons to play/pause music and skip tracks and I like the low profile keys. As for the mouse I'm happy with just the standard 2 buttons. I don't really care about price though I don't wanna be spending excessive amounts, preferably under £100.

Ok a bit late, but if you're still looking for a mouse I've heard high praise for the Logitech G502. I'm not sure if you do any gaming but apparently it's an amazing gaming mouse for only around £45. There's also the Logitech G600 which has 20 buttons altogether, I know you said you weren't fussed about the mouse buttons but you can assign macros to the 20 buttons and possibly even media controls on your mouse if you wanted and if you are still looking for a keyboard I would recommend a Logitech G810. The G810 has seperate media functions such as you mentioned and also a really cool scroll wheel for volume adjustment. Both of these products have RGB Lighting is you were looking for that as a plus and the G810 has mechanical Romer-G...
