Ryzen 3 2200g or Ryzen 5 2400g?

I think this depends greatly on your future plans.
If you are going to build it once, use it for several years, and never upgrade anything, 2200g.
Cheap aftermarket cooler, overclock it, be happy. Many many videos on this.
If you are going to add in a good mid range video card later, ( RX580, 1060 6gb, etc)
Then the 2400 g would be better, in the sense that you would have a 4 core 8 thread cpu instead of just 4 cores.
This would give you a considerably longer life out of the core components, across a few upgrades.

You don't "need" a cooler, the stock one is fine for mild oc's, a cheap air cooler will let you hit 3.9-4.0 cpu/1500/1600 gpu clocks.And run that 24/7.

Because the overclocked 2200g comes very close to the 2400g in gaming benchmarks.
If I was building it, I would go with a 2400g. Because threads. But it is $70 usd more.
And ram is expensive. If the $70 dollars is not a big deal, then 2400g.
