I'm planning to build my own gaming computer, since I am one of those people who are majorly into heavily modding their games and aren't fond of the limitations for console.... How much would you recommend to start off with? And it's possible to always upgrade it in the future right?

Depends on how many games you want installed. If you mod you'll want to install the games on a secondary drive. I have a 512GB SSD for Windows and programs including Origin and uPlay games and a 500GB SSD for Steam. I put Steam on the secondary drive just because of Skyrim mods.

I also have a 640GB HDD in there for basic backups and storage. So it's really up to your budget. And yes you can always add extra drives as needed.

Older games or less demanding games can easily be under 10GB. Some newer games like Mankind Divided and Fallout 4 end up being 70+ GB all by themselves.
