Compatibility Check-
I am currently designing a build for my lovely partner, however after a few trip ups I went through in the process of building my own PC, I wanted to get another opinion on the components, and any recommendations on how to get around any issues.

CPU- i7 7700K (only this one because I have a spare due to my incompetence lol)
CPU cooler- Cooler Master ML120L RGB liquid AIO
Motherboard- Asus STRIX B250-F (Again, I have a spare because I'm dumb)
Memory- GeIL 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 Super Luce Black
OS drive- Samsung 860 EVO 250GB SSD)\
Storage Drive- Western Digital 1TB HDD Black
GPU- Asus STRIX GTX1060
PSU- Corsair RM650x 80Plus
Case- Cooler Master MasterBox MB500 Mid Tower

As it stands, my main concerns are the socket compatibility with the cpu cooler, as well as actually fitting the setup in the case, as i had trouble fitting an AIO pump in a Mid Tower before. From what I've found, the radiator/fan should fit at the rear of the case, and i would just move the stock rgb fan in the rear of the case to the top.

My other concern is that the psu specs say it is 6th gen intel core ready. I have the rm850x psu and it ran both the 7700k I am putting in this build, and the 8700k it currently has in it. It says the same thing on the psu I used, but can never be too careful, right? especially if it's the missus.

My last concern is the TPD of the cooler. With my build, I just went with the biggest I could get, so TPD wasn't an issue. However given I am limited in a Mid tower case, I am unsure on whether or not the cooler I have chosen will be enough. Although I highly doubt she will ever max out the cpu, and can guarantee she wont overclock in the slightest, I just want to ensure that cooling wont be an issue.

If there are any issues that anyone can pick up that i haven't mentioned, or can confirm/deny my current concerns, that would be fantastic. I am open to almost anything at this point, as I am not buying anything until i know for sure, such as contacting brands or using compatibility checkers.

Thank you in Advance

I would have suggested a Z270 board but you already have one. The 7700K's overclocking abilities will be severely limited because of the board. Board cooling will also be lighter.

The cooler and case will get along. The case's page says http://www.coolermaster.com/case/mid-tower/masterbox-mb500/ Radiator Support Front 120 / 140 / 240 / 280 / 360mm radiator (limited) up to 50mm thickness without fan. It also says Fans - Top 120mm x 2. That means it'll probably accept your cooler up top which is where I would install it. It will fit in the case. Where in the case will be up to you.

Apart from B250 board everything is compatible and will fit. The 250 board is compatible with that CPU but it just isn't K friendly.

PS - We don't allow name-calling in here. You made a couple mistakes. In the decades of dealing with PC's I've made many and others have and will too. Lighten up:D

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!. Let's check the CPU fan. Connected? Yes. RAM(wrong code)? Let's try some other slots. About a half-hour later I realize my fan is connected but not to the CPU header. Bleep happens.

I appreciate the help. I didnt pick the b250 on the basis of overclocking. Given how expensive my build was, i planned on getting as long out of it as i could without dwindling the life span. Ill be honest, i picked the k because it was in budget and had bigger numbers (not exactly but basically why), and as my partner is not so savvy either, theres no chance of ger overclocking, so the board as it is will be fine, worked well with the cpu in my build, should be fine in this one.
I did plan on rear mounting the cooler on the rear, and moving the stock fan up, but if the cooler fits up top i woll most certainly put it there. Cheers once again :)
