trying to speed up netbook!

Solution
It's DDR3, but not replaceable (soldered onto motherboard).
The memory is fixed on the motherboard and there is no SO-DIMM on the motherboard. The On Board Memory is unable to be removed or replaced for extending.

Do you have the make/model of your netbook?

Most will be limited to 2gb of ram.
Faster ram does not help much anyway.
As to the ssd upgrade, that will help a lot if it is possible.
Some will come with only a slow 32gb ssd and not be upgradeable.
The assumption is that you will use the cloud for your storage.
A sd card may be your only option for more local storage.

Your expectations for performance are probably too high for this type of device.
The cpu is slow, the capacity is limited.
The big value is portability and a low price. I use one only for travel.

it has a 320 hdd in it which is replacable, kinda a pain cause you have to come from the top and remove the keyboard and palm wrest but it is doable, but anways and i dont plan on using it for gaming just youtube and office type work, if i could afford it i would put a m.2 in a sata like bracket enclousure, and use that but no lol.

This link shows no ssd/drive capability. I think it is incomplete.

Apparently, there is a sata hard drive capability.
In that case, replacing the hard drive with a ssd will be a good performance move and about the only one available.
To some extent, the faster page file performance of a ssd can compensate for the limited 2gb of ram.

To make the conversion, I suggest buying a Samsung EVO of sufficient capacity to hold what is now used on the HDD.
Also buy a USB to sata adapter cable.
Use the free Samsung ssd migration app to copy your C drive to the ssd.
When done, replace the hard drive.
Here is a link on how to do the mechanical part:

i'm going to get a refurb SSD, i dont plan on doing much writing or read to it so i figure why not,and the HDD is new so no need to buy anything special

How do you intend to do this?
So far as I can tell, your laptop has only one place for a drive.
If you simply replace the drive with a ssd, you are going to need to do a clean install on the ssd.
Usually, this is a pain to find and install the proper drivers.
You need to in advance, load an install usb stick with the proper windows install media.
In addition, you should prepare another stick with the necessary drivers.
Anything you value should be backed up to some sort of external storage.

I have no problem with a refurb ssd. But I really recommend the Samsung ssd migration route.
In addition to a supported Samsung ssd, you will need a usb to sata adapter cable, a $10 item.
Like this:

The Samsung ssd migration app will tell you more, including which Samsung ssd drives are supported. Most, but not all are.
The $10 cable can be used later to repurpose your laptop ssd as an external backup device.
