Hello, so i have an msi nightblade mib specs are - intel i5 7400 @ 3.4ghz, 16gb ddr4 ram, 1tb hdd 500gb ssd, and a 1050ti.
I was wondering if i could upgrade to a 1080ti or something (yes i know about bottlenecking i would upgrade my psu and my cpu aswell) my main problem is, my case is tiny running a 1050ti mini inside it. I want to hook up another monitor and play games on higher refresh rates more fps etc. so is it possible i could make a custom made protection box for my gpu connect it to the motherboard inside my computer case but like have the gpu box with the gpu inside it hang on a wall or smth? is that an option?

There are video card risers you can get to mount the video card externally, but a much simpler solution would be to get a larger case. Did you check for card size vs what your case can fit? The specs on it say that a 290mm x 35mm card will fit.

Also upgrading a video card from a pretty decent one now is a bad idea, the prices are just too high.

Rather then make a separate thread, I have an HP EliteDesk 800 G2 Mini (i5-6500, 16gb Mem, 500GB SSD) that I've really just been using for Netflix. There are no Thunderbolt ports on it, but there is a USB Type C on the front. Is there an eGPU that runs off of USB Type C?.. or are they all just Thunderbolt?
I see the Nightblade also has USB Type C and no Thunderbolt

a 1050ti is decent yes, but it can barely run pubg on low graphics (i barely squeeze 90fps with fps drops and stuttering issues) i want a 144hz monitor and runa dual or maybe triple monitor build but a 1050ti does not allow for that without imput lag and stuff (ive tryed) the card prices dont matter for me as money isint a problem (i just dont want a new pc build or a new case aswell)
