Upgrading RAM causing games to crash (8gb-16gb)

So i just recently upgraded from 8gb ram to 16gb ram, The ram is hyper X Kingston RAM and when ever i play a game that's a bit heavy on resources (The witcher 3, PUBG and even Fortnite) it seems to just crash, without reason and randomly. Any help would be much appreciated. I'd also like to point out that i did test the new RAM by it self to see if it was faulty or not, it does seem to work fine so its nothing to do with faulty RAM.

My PC specs:
CPU- i5 6600K
GPU- RX 480 8gb (ASUS Strix)
RAM- 8gb (16gb) Hyper x Kingston
PSU- 500w XFX
SSD- Samsung Evo 260gb
Hard drives- 2TB and a 1TB
Motherbpard- ASUS MAXIMUS VIII

Any help would be very much appreciated as i really would like to run 16GB ram.

Solution
There is no guarantee that memory combinations made up by matching up identical part numbers will be compatible together.

Workarounds for getting extra memory to work include:
Lower memory clock speed
Relax DRAM timings
Increase DRAM voltage
Lower CPU multiplier

You might consider buying a single 16GB kit next time if you really want to run 16GB RAM. Since the old memory has never been tested with the new memory, Do It Yourself compatibility testing can be economically impractical.

You may have better luck with those combinations with small amounts of memory and less success with larger 8GB modules.

Did you run memtest86 on that system? DDR4 defect rates are actually quite high, and you may have got bad memory when you upgraded.

I don't trust and ddr4 ram without at least 24 hours of memtest86 run time on them, and even then I look at them with suspicion.

Thank you for your reply,
I'm a bit confused at this point and time, i downloaded CPU-Z and this is what my memory is running at.

If it be ok for you to have a look at it i'd much appreciate it :)
