Hi Guys, badly need your recommendations/advise:(

I've been thinking about getting a GTX 1070 8GB which would require a latest processor in order not to bottleneck the GPU and maximize its performance. But I'm wondering if an i7-7700k will able to work 100% on my current motherboard or would require something else. I've been researching a lot about of these but resulting in different motherboard concerns.

Current PC Specs:
Motherboard : G1.Sniper.B5
Processor: Intel i5-4570
Graphic Card: Asus Strix 960 4GB
Ram : 16GB Ram
Power : 850watts

Any help would be greatly appreciated! :bounce:

1. There is no such thing as CPU bottlenecking GPU or vice versa - it's a FUD spread by illiterate hamsters that have 0 idea how computers (and especially graphics pipeline) works
2. This motherboard support only 4th and 5th generations of intel core CPUs - no it can not be used with i7-7700K

All you have to do is to get a used i7-4770 or i7-4790 for well under 200$ or even i7-4790K (for a bit over 200$) and have about the same performance as with i7-7700.

Which would mean I'll have to change almost everything except for my CPU case?? Crap! Good thing I asked first! I almost bought the processor and graphic card, or else it would be useless and will cost me dearly to buy for the motherboard since I'm pretty pretty tight on budget. Maybe i'll pass for now, will use this for the mean time while it's still functional and will just buy in the future if it's really needed. Now I learned something new today. :wahoo:
Thanks very much!!

Their always a bottleneck in every PC that has ever been built . All it refers to is the slowest part doing the task at hand. It can also change doing a different task or from game to game.
A 1070 would work fine with your processor in games that are more video card dependent, in games that are more processor dependent then it would not use its full potential. This can also change if your running a higher resolution over 1080p.
Finding a used 4790K and using a GTX 1070 would be a good upgrade.
With the prices of cards right now I might just hold off on the video card but still consider the processor upgrade.
