Hi I want to buy a new Cpu motherboard and Ram. I sold my old pc (except gtx 960 4gb). I lives in India and here the ryzen 3 1200 is $45 cheaper than the i3 8100. So please guys tell me which processor should I buy.

Both are 4 cores, but the 8100 has better SCP so better gaming.

However, mobos for it are more expensive. If on a budget, go with the 1200 and apply some OC.

I suggest you try out the Ryzen 3 2200G it has a the new vega 8 GPU integrated in it so you don't need a gpu you can still use your gtx 960 as discrete gpu if you want or you can just use the onboard one.

Thanks brother

Go with the 1200. Make sure you get a b350 series motherboard to be able to overclock though. But the GTX 960 is basically equivalent to a GTX 1050 to GTX 1050ti. Essentially the card will likely hold back any potential performance benefit of one or the other. Once the 1200 is overclocked, it should be close.

This should give you an idea. The guy ran some tests even with a GTX 1070 with each CPU, and when running high details, once the ryzen 1200 was overclocked, the 2 processors seemed to read blows.

I didn't watch the whole video, but the chart I saw during the video suggested that. But have a look and see what you think.
