Going to be making a build in the next couple of days, I have an idea of what I would like to go for.
I've seen some other threads asking some of the same questions but ill just ask here as well..

Here is what I'm thinking of:
https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/BM7jcY

I saw most of it on a pretty similar thread just changed mine up a bit.

Keep in mind this is in AU currency

My main question was to ask if the ultra wide is worth it.
I could get it or spend the extra money on a 1060 6GB but it doesnt seem that important atm
Plan on playing Fortnite mostly, i know it doesnt need even need a 1060 but i would like to get the 1060 for the future.

I also plan on Overclocking just because it is satisfying.

Also the SSD listed here is different to the one ill be getting, I have a 256 GB SSD atm but to keep it simple I need it buy it for a friend.

I want to get new parts, not second hand

Overall I feel like I have a good price for value items and it seems fine atm, please leave suggestions if you feel like this could be improved :)

Solution
RAM: 1x8GB is only recommended as minimum, if possible get 2x8GB. If you in the future want to have 2x8GB and have to mix and match RAM kit, just remember this has only about 60% success rate.
SSD: 120GB is too small for today's standard, better take 240GB or higher.
GTX1060 3GB: Yes, it is a bad time to buy a GPU but do you know that the 3GB variant of 1060 is not only equiped with less VRAM than the 6GB variant? It is also quite a lot weaker than the 6GB variant.
450W PSU: 450W is enough for your configuration but if you plan e.g. to upgrade your GPU to GTX1080 or higher, you have to replace the PSU too. Corsair CX is not exactly among the best.

The ram at the moment is a bit too much to buy 16GB for me, I'm clinging on the dream that maybe just maybe that ram prices will come back down in the future, if they do ill buy the same kit again
I also know about the difference in the 1060 Varients but I feel like its not enough of a difference to go towards it, current games ill be playing wont make more than a 5-10 FPS difference
I also said that I would be getting a 256 GB SSD, later on so yeah
I thought the Corsair CX was a good PSU? Would you recommend any others for around the same price?

I've seen some reviews from pretty good reviewers such as johhnyguru and even tomdhardware towards the CXM line and they all suggest that it is pretty good

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/corsair-cx650m-psu,4770.html

Are you sure I really need to change it up? The only problem with the one you suggested is extra shipping costs which make it about a 100

Alright I will get this PSU, apart from that any other suggestions?

Your build still ok aside from those in my comments.
GPU, SSD and RAM should not be really a big deal, you can upgrade them later.
If you plan to OC the proc you should get aftermarket cooler but you can buy one later only after you really want to OC it. You do not have to buy it now.

Ultrawide like those 21:9? if you do mainly game, ultrawide is quite nice.
