Hello there, so I'm thinking to buy SSD (120/240GB) and also Intel Optane 16GB M.2 drive for the system only.
The thing is that I don't know where can I find if this specific motherboard can boot system from M.2 drive.
Motherboard: Gigabyte B350-Gaming

If someone can help, I would be very very thankful.

The 16GB Optane is a cache drive, not meant for the OS drive.
It gets paired with an HDD, to serve as a cache for that HDD.

16GB is FAR too small.

Also, that Optane is only for Intel boards.
It can boot from M.2 drive for sure.
It's just - 16GB is not enough to put windows 10 on it.

32GB is bare minimum and even then you'll run into trouble, when next big windows update is released. With 64GB you can be more or less comfortable, but still 120GB/240GB is recommended for windows 10 OS drive.
