Hi there.
My motherboard is approximately 4 years old.
In the past 4 months, I have noticed that the computer will not boot up. At first, I used single sticks of RAM to test (my computer has two RAM sticks). Turns out that one of them is faulty, as confirmed using a RAM Test in Windows 10 boot. I got both sticks exchanged with new ones from Corsair (Great service I must say!)
Now, I encounter the same problem. However, both sticks are fine (swapped them around) but it seems that the memory slot 2 is causing the problem.
Whenever the computer does not boot, I pluck out the RAM stick in slot 2 then the computer boots perfectly. Then I shut the computer down, plug the RAM stick back to slot 2. Then it will be able to boot. It's crazy.
Is my motherboard's slot 2 faulty?
Why is it that taking out RAM and putting back in on slot 2 makes it work?
Hope I can get a good solution for this!
