Hey guys,

I made my PC back at July 2017, although couldnt afford a GTX 1080 due to ridiculous pricing.
Right now I'm running a PC with Radeon R5 230.
I was just wondering if buying Corsair h110i would be worth. I want my CPU temps to be low and I would want to overclock it as much as possible. Please let me know.

Specs:
Ryzen 1600
AX370 Gigabyte gaming k5
Trident Z RGB 16 GB
WD 1 TB
Bit Pheonix Aurora
650 Watt PSU

Solution
No, you don't need water cooling for the 1600. Ryzen does not have a thermal barrier for greater overclocks. Ryzen's barrier is in the architecture itself is the limiting factor for clockspeeds.

I over clocked my R5 1600 to 4.0 Ghz using my old hyper 212 (not even the updated evo) that I yanked off my old i5-2500k. The temps stayed around 24C at idle, 45C under gaming load, and 67C under prime95 stress test. I don't think switching to water cooling will buy you much, but if you are on stock crappy AMD coolers, then you have plenty of options to pick from.
