whats up guys is the i7 860 vs i5 6600 is it a very big difference? i mean if i have a gtx 1050 ti with those cpu i know i5 will be better in performance but is it a far far better than the old one?

Solution
Please give your full specs of the new system; especially the motherboard.

It is recommended to perform a BIOS update when you upgrade your processor to maximize compatibility.

Ensure that all the power connectors are connected (8 pin, 24 pin especially). Try seeing if you can get fans spinning with all PCI/PCIe cards removed and drives disconnected. If the PC completely refuses to start then there is an electrical short somewhere or it doesn't like the way a piece of hardware (or connector) is installed. Badly seated graphics card or RAM can do this.

acutally i have an i5 650 which is old than i7 860 i want to upgrade it to i7 860 and get a gtx 1050 ti , so if i want to get a i5 6600 i have to get a new motherboard so i dont want , some people told me, the i5 650 on gtx 1050 ti will not bottleneck on this cpu but sometimes it bottleneck a games like ac origin or nfs payback

You are on an old platform, but if you're just trying to run a 1050 ti you should be able to get away with just a cpu upgrade and a decent overclock. Your I5 650 is basically a glorified I3, meaning you dont really have 4 cores, and the version of hyperthreading used is not the best. Assuming your motherboard will support it, you could pick up a used xeon x3470 or I7 870 and try to bump the clocks to 3.5 or so and that should hold you over for a little while. Otherwise you could look for some older sandy bridge or Ivy bridge I5 or I7 bundles, or heck even used AM3+ bundles with FX 83xx series chips. Any of those would do you well up to a GTX 1060 \ RX 480\580. Honestly AM3+ is better feature wise, the socket was around for so long you can find boards with support for M.2 drives and usb 3.1. At the end of the day though, you're still going to have to upgrade to a new platform, be it AM4, LGA 1151 V3, TR4, or whatever, it just comes down to how much money you're willing and able to spend when you decide to make the jump. That being said, AMD is starting to slightly mark down their older Ryzen parts, to make room for their next gen chips that are coming out next month, if you keep an eye out you could find some decent deals.

Your better off buying new stuff.
A i3 8100 would give a bit better performance at a lower price that a 6600 but the board would cost a bit more (Z370)

http://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i5-6600-vs-Intel-Core-i3-8100/3514vs3942

For the PCI-E 2.0 it will show no performance dirrerence than 3.0 with that card it cant saturate a 2.0 lane.

If you chose to just upgrade your processor then make sure your bIOS can support the UEFI bios of the 1050 card.

Thank u guys for the replays , actually my friend has the same of the performance it has , i5 650 and a gtx 960 4gb , and 8 gb ram , so he tried battlefield 1 on ultra and it the fps was 32 40 max but he tried assassin creed origin on high and he get 29 28 fps with medium its 39 fps , with those fps its ok for me , but i dont know if want to buy a new board and cost more money so i guess i will buy a gtx 1050 ti or buy a new board with i5 7th gen

The two games you named, BF1 and Assassin's Creed Origins, are CPU dependent. If you go with an i7 8xx upgrade then you might consider saving some money and getting a 1050 instead of a 1050 Ti. That's because your framerate will be limited anyways by the CPU and you'll need to compromise on the settings to keep framerate as high as possible, so the extra performance of the 1050 Ti will likely go unused in those games.

Are you on strict budget? what is your budget range to spend on upgrade PC component? If trying to limit my budget, I'd buy Ryzen 5 2400G (CPU + GPU in one) APU, new motherboard and DDR4 RAM. this is good for 1080p and medium quality in games. For graphic card, price are crazy right now because of due crypto miner.

Don't spend your money on an old platform. I would not even consider getting a new graphics card for a decade old CPU as it would bottleneck anything decent. What you need to do is rebuild on either Intel 8th gen or Ryzen. Intel 8th gen builds perform better but cost more; Ryzen ones are cheaper.

A problem I have with TT is they tend to change the PSU but not the name. Doing some fast reading online I've found four differen't manufacturers for the "litepower" series. Some bad ones, some ok, and even a good one.

If you aren't using any adapters, you should be fine. You don't have any high draw things, so you should be good. If you've been using this PSU for a long time you should consider replacing. I've found reviews for the litepower series dating as far back as 2009. Using a 10yr PSU that have a 3yr warranty isn't a good idea. But you should be fine right now.

Thermaltake is usually fine, and 550w is more than enough for your current and probably future system needs unless you go crazy on it. I have had issues with some of their units in the past, but I've also had issues with just about every manufacturer out there, so I wouldnt lump them in the "bad" category, most of what they make is fine, and sometimes every manufacturer just makes a dud. You could find the most recent reviews for your unit on newegg or amazon if you lookup the part number though.

Speccy can tell you the name of your motherboard. Google "-motherboard name-" plus "BIOS" and download the latest BIOS file. Put it on a FAT32 flash drive, load into your BIOS program and use its flask utility and the file you downloaded. The only risk is if you interrupt the process which can render the motherboard inoperable. Takes 5 mins. It may not fix the issue but an outdated BIOS can cause a new CPU to not work. The other thing is that it may not be compatible with that particular board. For that reason if you give your motherboard name that would be very useful.
