Hello guys! Today I saw my Event logs and I see the following message.." The IP address lease 192.168.1.xx for the Network Card with network address has been denied by the DHCP server 192.168.1.x (The DHCP Server sent a DHCPNACK message). " Is this normal? As I can see it has been happening to me since 2015 bad not so frequently...It has happened in every reboot in the last week. The private Ipv4 address changes but I don't have any problems while using the computer. Is it normal behavior or shall I worry?

When you turn off your computer the DHCP server may give the ip to another machine. When your computer is turned back on it requests to use it's last ip. It shows that error if the DHCP server says no. I wouldn't worry if you feel like the ips are going to legit devices.

Hello failboat thanks for the reply!I don't know to many things about this subject so please keep up with me.What legit machines are you talking about? Besides the computer I only connect a smartphone on the router via wifi nothing else.after some googling I did I found that the IpV4 address can range between a wide variety. But i just want to know is it normal for the ipv4 address to change with each reboot. For example lets say I have an adress 192.168.1.10.then I reboot and it goes 192.168.1.11.Its not like it changes entirely. This used to happen with my previous router but in a range of 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.3 and not on every reboot. Now this thing has started for a week and the last digits have reached mid 40s!Is this normal?thanks again for your help!

Hello Alabalcho thanks for the reply! If there is nothing to worry about,it doesnt bother me at all.I just felt confused because I have this router for 1 month but this only started last week. The previous router I had didnt do this at all either. Why would this thing start happening out of the blue?
