1080Ti Really low fan speeds (85C or higher)

I'll try keep this short and sweet.
I have a EVGA 1080ti in my personal rig and it runs super cool and the fans can speed up to 3000rpm if I wish.

My Dad has 2 ICHILL GEFORCE GTX 1080 TI X3 ULTRA cards but is having thermal issues.

Obviously SLI will increase the temperature of both cards primarily the top one but its hitting (80+) constantly

I have used MSI afterburner and set the fans at 100% fan speed and there only hitting 1600Rpm, barely even audible in comparison to my own card.

I sure this cards fans must spin faster than this since its throttling/crashing in SLI and barely keeping under 85c just running the one card.

A fresh install of Windows/Graphics drivers has been done but the results are the same, would appreciate any information you guys have to help. :)

93c~ is the Pascal limit. The card will hard throttle at 91c. By default 85c is where the fan profile is set for. I've been running a few 1080Tis for 8 months now 24/7 at 85c. No problems yet.

With a cooler that big, I would think it would hover around 73c~ under load. If one card and the other is not, than the second card is faulty.

85c is the limit, I don't want it in the 70c let alone the 80s lol, MSI after burner both fans at 100% fan speed but stay at around 1600RPM and go no higher. To be able to play anything the fans must be on "100%" all of the time.

Yeah it is possible they could be faulty but that kind of a last resort at this point in time. Thanks for the response
