I want to find games from my childhood,(late 90s to mid 2000s) but what I played back then were what is now known as indie games.(companies such as Reflexive Arcade, Idigicon LMT., Last Day of Work, and Popcap) The problem is back then they weren't referred to as indie games, so how should I word my search so I can find these games more easily?

This may or may not help, but Gog.com has a lot of older games that have been adapted to be able to work with modern Windows (7, 8, 10). Sometimes it's adapted directly, or, for the DOS games, often in a DOSBox wrapper that's already set up.

Gog has the rights, and sells them DRM-free. I've bought two games that I've been playing way more than my modern games, LOL.

There are other sites that may have them as well, and I recall a friend telling me about a site that had old DOS era games, though I don't recall that one.

Gog may not specifically filter on original company, or indie companies in general, as it's been a while since I searched. Might be a good start, though.
