Okay so my case is NZXT phantom 820, and my motherboard is Asus Formula X

Now before I say anything I would like to say "Yes I did go to the manual and read what it has to say" unfortunately it is not helping me much, specially the NZXT case manual

The motherboard comes with some black block that has all the names for the panel controls, on that block it writes: "Power and Ground", "Reset and Ground" and "HDD LED+ and HDD LED-"

My problem is, WHICH side on those switches is + and which is - ? So that I'd know how to orientate them correctly .... On each switch, there is a white wire attached to it, and a black wire on the other side

And should I use this block at all? .... Honestly it has much less confusing instructions written on it than the diagram on the motherboard's header

Thanks for any tip you could provide

Usually the black wire is the ground or - and the white should be the Power (+). Even if you make a mistake and plug them incorrectly, nothing bad will happen. The led will just not light up and you'll have to reverse the way you plugged the cables. As for whether you should use that block, it's up to you. It's just for helping you plug all the cables together and makes the installation process easier but it's not necessary. Good luck.
