So I need your advice please.
My specs..Pentium G4560
GTX1050ti
H110-m motherboard
8 GB ddr4
500watt PSU
NO SSD.
I'd like to upgrade to be able to use oculus rift with war thunder and other flight sims..your advice sought. My budget is £500

I wouldn’t recommend paying for a high end cpu on that platform. Best long term value would be to upgrade to an i5-8400 on the cheapest Z370 you can find (or wait on the H mobos to release).

Can likely reuse the ram but guessing its of the slow variety.

What PSU, exactly?

Load times on a HDD are going to be terrible on some VR games.

Having said all that, the 1050ti is the minimum required and you can’t upgrade with a new gpu at the moment withthat budget. The minimum will run but expect lag.

That budget will get an 8400, cheap z370, a copy of windows, then either faster ram or an ssd (I’d probably go ssd).
