Can i use USB-C on Z270 with i5 6600k

I've read online that the 7th gen chips have "native" USB-C support and I wonder if I will not be able to use my USB-C on my mobo because I have a 6th gen CPU

The usb-c functionality is baked into the motherboard, so if your board has such a port, you should be able to use it.

Fundamental USB-C functionality (USB1/2/3.x) is exactly the same as USB3.0/3.1 on Type-A. If your motherboard doesn't have type-C ports, simply use A-to-C adapters.
