Hi folks. I recently upgraded to a shiny new Samsung 860 EVO 1TB SSD, which is fantastic. In doing so, I replaced one of my two 1TB Barracuda drives. I transferred all of the data from both drives to the SSD, removed the OS (C) drive, and transferred storage-type stuff back to my storage (D) drive. I replaced C with my SSD, and went on my merry way. Everything was fine for quite some time. Several days later, I put my computer to sleep for the first time since the upgrade. When it woke up, the D drive was nowhere to be found. My first thought was that my poor old work horse finally died, but through some combination of the steps below I was able to revive it temporarily. However, as soon as the computer slept and woke again, it was back to not working.

Things I've tried:
-Powering off/on, both immediately and after purging power and unplugging for ~ten minutes
-Using other power/SATA cables
-Using other SATA ports on the mobo
-Disconnecting and reconnecting power/SATA while running windows

A few notes: The HDD doesn't appear in BIOS or Windows. When the SATA cable is disconnected and reconnected while running windows, explorer freezes and my computer eventually BSODs.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated, as (even temporarily) reviving the drive will save me A LOT of re-downloading.

Thanks in advance!
