PCPartPicker is showing that my build is coming in at 339 watts. There's a sale on the EVGA SuperNOVA 550w G3 right now. From what I've read, I should allow some extra wattage. Will this PSU suffice?

The other thing to note is that I added my peripherals (headset, keyboard, etc) and the total wattage didn't change, so I'm not sure how much I believe the 339.

Here's a link to the full build: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/subterminal303/saved/Zwn4CJ

Also, I used OuterVision's calculator and it's suggesting 750va. Is that the same number I see in the name of the PSU?
OuterVision PSU Calculator part list

Load Wattage: 334W
Recommended Wattage: 384W
Amperage: +3.3V: 10.0A, +5V: 10.4A, +12V: 24.9A

Only the 1080ti would need a 650w. But a 650w psu is recommended from 1070ti onwards if you plan to oc the gpu with a 150% power limit in msi afterburner and/maybe oc the cpu to 4.8-5.0ghz on all cores.

Here is the case in newegg : https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811854019&ignorebbr=1&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-PCPartPicker,%20LLC-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=

It's better tho have a capable cooler just in case. Not mention that it will run quieter than the 212. If you want a bit cheaper cooler, try the cryorig H7

650w option : https://pcpartpicker.com/product/WrNypg/seasonic-focus-plus-gold-650w-80-gold-certified-fully-modular-atx-power-supply-ssr-650fx

And yes, u can run...

If PC partpicker isnt telling you otherwise, i'm sure it's fine. Although keep in mind if you ever want to buy another gtx 1060 for SLI or perhaps even upgarde to a high end GPU (like a 1080ti) I think you may need some extra power.

Personally I say 550w is fine for your build.

The g3 550w is a great choice for the 8600k and a 1060.

Have you bought the cpu cooler yet? Cuz the 212 is not a good choice. I would suggest a cryorig h5 or Scythe Mugen 5.

And a better case if you can : https://pcpartpicker.com/product/jrVBD3/phanteks-case-phes515pbk

Another thing : ur monitor is 2k and the gpu is a 1060 3gb. 3gb vram won't be enough to for 2k high resolution textures. It will struggle even in 1080p ultra settings.
So I would suggest you to consider a 1070/1070ti if you can.

Those are some great points. No, I haven't bought the cooler yet. I will check into the ones you have suggested. However, I'm not planning on OC'ing, so can I get by with a cheaper cooler? ($20 range)

As for the case, I'm about to order the Rosewill Magnetar because it's on sale on NewEgg for $30. I just couldn't find that specific case on PcPartPicker.

And the monitor thing I didn't even think of. I guess I could upgrade if I can sell my GTX 1060, which I just bought less than 6 months ago :( In the mean time, what if I run the monitor on a lower resolution?

And all that being said, if I do end up getting a GTX 1070 TI, will the EVGA SuperNOVA 550 still suffice?

Thanks! I ended up buying the Enthoo Pro M case, as well as the Cryorig H7 you suggested. Icing on the cake was that when I looked for the Cryorig H7, it was 50% off flash sale on NewEgg for the next two days.
