Wants to upgrade my laptop storage to ssd

I am using Dell Inspiron 15 5559,i7 with 2tb hdd.i want to use ssd for speed upgradation...but I don't know which ssd my laptop supports.. whether it is SATA(if SATA then SATA2 or SATA3) or PCle also it's obvious that I can't remove my 2tb HDD just for lower capacity ssd so i guess I will have to remove my optical disc tray and use that as a connector, Also I am confuse whether to put HDD on a connector and place ssd to the hdd's place or vice versa..plzz help

Well, as you already pondered, you will have to remove the optical drive and snap one of the drives there. As for the SSD replacing the hard drive is throughout possible. 2.5-inch models with a height of 7 mm can be installed. Look for SATA3 models.
