2x PCIe x16

I recently upgraded my desktop. Put in a MSI x370 gaming plus and a Ryzen 5 2400gb processor and upgraded to win 10. And I had two evga nvidia gtx 770s. However it will not recognize both gpus. It says this mobo is sli compatible but am I missing something else?

How do you know that it isn't supporting both GPUs? What does it say in the nvidia control panel after you put in the second one?

It reads the second gpu slot as empty.

ryzen 52400g only have 8 pcie lane for graphic card. Nvidia required 8 pcie lane for each gpu

Is the card in all the way? Do you have the aux power cables plugged into it? Do you have the SLI bridge cable installed between the two cards?

there are different between pcie lane, some for gpu, some for data.

The board don't use 8 lanes. the gpu use the 8 lanes from the cpu.

7th Gen A-series/ Athlon™ processors support x8/x0 mode

Now that would read that the older (launch) APUs could only use x8/x0, so no SLI support - there are reports that the newer Ryzen-based APUs doing the same thing.

Not 100% sure if it's a CPU limitation, or whether a future BIOS update will release to "fix".

I wouldn't imagine a Ryzen-based APU running SLI discreet GPUs was a realistic use-case AMD/Vendors were anticipating...
