Greetings all,

I have been a paying member to a rather small website Forum for little over two years. Since around the beginning of Feb, I cannot access it. When I attempt to log in, this is a error message I see displayed:

WARNING: array_filter() expects parameter 1 to be array, null given in line 208 of file check.inc.php

Have no clue what that means.

Underneath is:

Access to this membership area is not allowed. Please go to "Membership information page" to renew or add subscription.

I cannot access the membership page. When I click on the Membership Information Page link, it moves to a blank screen and refreshing does naught!

I have done everything from send me my lost password - that did come along. Did nothing.
Try and contact the people I pay the bill to - no answer email or phone.

I was actually able to reach the owner of the site. While he told me he can access the site and is unsure why I cannot, he told me he would contact the tech support, but I've heard FA since. I'm sure he cares little other than the money he receives.

I'm left wondering if there is something on my end that I am missing? Permissions, security or something.

Anyone have an idea?

Cheers!

Could be any number of things from browser extensions, to anti-virus or anti-malware, to blocked ports on your modem/router.

If you haven't tried using a different browser, that would be the first thing to check:

Microsoft Internet Explorer
Microsoft Edge (Windows 10)
Firefox
Chrome
Opera

If you get the same across each of these, try to temporarily stop your anti-virus/anti-malware program(s) to see if they're blocking it. Be sure to RE-ENABLE them when you're finished testing. If you're still not able to access the site, then I'd probably wait until you hear back from Technical Support.

Hi Wolf, aye, I forgot to mention. I normally use Firefox, but have tried on Edge as well as my Android mobile. All have the same result.

I will try stopping Kaspersky and Malwarebytes and see if this has an effect.

Cheers, Hondo

Edit: Turned both off and added the site to Malwarebytes as an exception. Did nothing. No change.

Ack, Wolfshadw beat me to it. I would also add that you try booting into Safe Mode with Networking (or whatever it's called on W10). Also, try accessing it from another network/PC (i.e. friend's PC at their house, public library, etc.), to make sure it's not a problem with your network/ISP.

I tried from other networks with my mobile. That was not an issue.

I was finally able to reach the owner of the site again. While I don't have an answer (I did ask), I am able again to gain access. The only thing I can think of is I was somehow blocked from the site on their end.

I accessed the site over the weekend and all others were there and posted comments. Hence, I must have been blocked for reasons I don't know.

Thanks for the advise nonetheless.
