Hello there,
after the BIOS (v. 7.20) update yesterday, the XMP settings disappeared, also the CPU (i7 6700K) does not use the turbo boost anymore. Before upgrading bios, the memory worked at 2666 MHz, and the processor turbo boosted without a problem.Last night I sent an e-mail to AsRock, but I still have no answer. Did anyone have the same problem ?

Тhank you in advance !

Before the update, i had ram working on 2666 mhz and the CPU work most of the time on 4.2 ghz. Right now the CPU run on 4 ghz. In the bios the cpu turbo boost is ON, but doesn't work :(.
I send a message to AsRock and they say that the RAM can't run up to 2666 mhz on this motherboard ?! I can't understand what is going on here, but on bios v.7 i had XMP Profile and i can simple enable it ... so my ram was on 2666 mhz for the past year.

so did you try to get to v7 again?

you can check if the turbo works fine with prime95. Use version 26.6 so AVX won´t be so hard and run only one worker with the option smallFFT for single work load.
This should get the CPU to 4.2GHz. If not, check your temperature while doing this with coretemp

I try to load standard settings, also i flash the bios on the previous version (v. 7.0), but the XMP profile is gone :( I'm still waiting for AsRock support to answer on my ticket.

The version now is 7.0 I will try to reset the BIOS by jumper.

When I bought the motherboard then I used another processor, intel G4560 which runs with RAM up to 2400 mhz. Already there was an XMP Profile after I changed the processor with the i7 6700k, then I still had the XMP profile. Is it possible that the problem comes from updating the BIOS with a processor that supports up to 2133 MHz RAM, and this creates the problem of the disappearance of the profile. If the reset the BIOS by jumper didn't help, then I will try to put my old processor again and see if the XMP profile will appear.

in the beginning some BIOS versions for H110/B150,... boards allowed to overclock a "K" CPU, but Intel disabled this by updating the Intel Management Engine (part of the BIOS update). ASRock named this "DDR4 Non-Z OC" in the BIOS menu.
Maybe something there is not reversible anymore, if once updated.

Where in the BIOS do you search for XMP?
press F6 within BIOS to enter advanced mode, then it should be under "OC-Tweaker" -> dram configuration

eventually you can set the settings manually?

Here is photos from the BIOS which I did a few days ago (v 7.20). After returning to the previous version (v 7.00), the settings look the same way.

The first picture i pick from the AsRock website, Right there where is DRAM Information is a button XMP Profile, but i don't have it anymore.
Also when i press F6 on tab OC tweakers> DRAM Configuration i had XMP Profile before...
