i was wondering if it is possible to move a motherboard from a prebuilt like the hp compaq pro 6300 sff to a normal appropriately sized atx board? If so will i still be able to keep all the components or will i have to replace any?

Solution
Most of there "prebuilt" PCs (and especially SFFs) use non-standard components and connections in order to fit into the small case. There's also a good chance your 6300 to be BTX motherboard (CPU is rotated 45 degrees from "normal", and slots are above it), and finding "normal" BTX case these days (especially one you'll like) will be hard.
